The Big Chill

Fall is upon us and the weather is anything but predictable. Trying to work out every other day worked great when the weather was warm and the days were long. Now when I leave work the sun is setting and the wind is blowing. My motivation is slowly decreasing as the days get shorter and colder. It doesn't help that nothing seems to be fitting anymore. My shorts, which are getting rather big on me, are no longer appropriate to work out in. Time to purchase some new sweatpants which of course costs money. Money that I don't have.

What I have to realize is that even though the weather is changing and my routine may not be as routine as I would like it to be, that it's really just psychological. If I really want to exercise, my body's not going to stop me, my mind is. And this is just the beginning too. It will get colder and some days there will even be snow on the ground. There is no better time to find alternative solutions then now, when I can still experiment and figure out what's going to work for me. Maybe the solution is purchasing some exercise tapes, or maybe now is the right time to reward myself and purchase a Wii Fit.

I am 1.8 lbs from hitting 45 lbs lost. That's 25% of my ultimate weight loss goal gone. I need to do what I need to do to stay on track and make sure the next 45 lbs are as easy to lose as the first. Cold weather is not going to be the first wall I hit unless I let it be.
